The Wind River Range in west
central Wyoming is a classic
example of Laramide-style
basement block uplift. The timing
of exhumation of the Wind River
Range is important for
understanding the timing of
Laramide-style deformation and to
assess proposed mechanisms for
Late Cretaceous-Paleogene
tectonic deformation within the
North American Cordilleran
foreland basin.
